HOW TO HIRE first decide the event you want to enter and the type of car you want. I am only too happy to advise you on this so that you get the right combination. The cost for hire varies, but is normally between £1000 and £1600 for a one day event, depending on which car you decide on. On top of this you have a total loss through fire insurance premium, varying from £100 to £300. It is possible to insure the cars against damage, I can obtain competitive fully-comprehensive cover from Car & Competition Insurance.  Alternatively, customers can supply a deposit/bond of approx 2/3 of the vehicles value. This is returned on completion of the event, minus any crash damage. Mechanical breakdown is included within the hire cost.

For full terms/conditions please contact me, I am willing to modify the package for your specific requirements.

WHY HIRE - throughout the rallying world it's recognized that hiring a competition car is a cost effective option, which brings about added flexibility. The advantages are:-

No commitment to a specific car, class or championship - if you buy a car you're committed.

Unless you use a car for more than 10 events it is almost certainly cheaper to hire, most rally drivers don't take into account the true cost of running a rally car, i.e.

initial cost of car
running costs
fuel
oil
fuel additives
brake pads
clutches

General wear and tear and depreciation are also a considerable factor that people don't take into account,  eg. engine rebuilds every 10 events, gear boxes every 3-4 events and axels every 10-15 events will add up to a significant cost and can be very expensive.

When starting in rally driving it makes sense to hire as you may not have any workshop and storage available to maintain and prepare a car and you do not want the expense of purchasing and maintaining a trailer and service vehicles.

A lot of drivers only have time to do 2-3 events/year which makes hiring competitive.

If you hire a car then with only a few phone calls you will have a sorted professional car. No more struggling to prepare your rally car for the event whilst trying to keep your job and family happy!
